Okay so, first thing first, a friend of mine is publishing a comic book, so please take a look and maybe preorder? If you can? If you like comics? A beautifully drawn and well written ones especially? It’s autobiographical and super-interesting since, well, my friend has a very unique background and hell of a story to tell. So I really recommend checking it out! HERE is his Patreon where you can see and read some of the chapters for free and support his work!

What else. I started reading Sanderson’s third novel: Yumi and the Nightmares Painter and I don’t like it. It reads like a bad rip-off of Your Name but with more annoying characters and I’m really starting to suspect that I will only ever like Sanderson’s epic fantasy and not his romatic or whimsical books. And definitely not his YA books. I don’t like the way he writes teenagers and how they’re all super stereotypical. The book is full of anime-like cliches. I’m in 38% right now.

I also finished this one: Anatomy of a Breakthrough (this is non-fiction) and I liked it. I think I’ll read it again at some point. Lots of tips on how to get “unstuck” when you face a life-challenge or feel like you can’t progress in your goals. Very inspiring too.

Writing is slowly moving forward as well. I might manage to finish the second draft of my latest story by the end of the month and then will probably do some brainstorming and maybe rewrite the supposedly-funny draft I finished a while back but never edited. So I’m looking for funny books recommendations! I already have a list of Pratchett stories, but it would be good to have some variety. Any recommendations are welcome!

You mean someone gave you the whole list of pretty much anything he’s ever written? 😉 JK I know that the amount of fun varies. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is fun, too (don’t watch the movie!), but it’s British Humor as well, so it might be less variety than you might want?
If by “funny books” you mean novels only then I’m out of options, but I am reading a few dozen other webcomics, and I love the over the top humor that’s being mixed with “a healthy dose of insanity” (yes that sounds oxymoronic) that is Girl Genius. Then there’s Freefall with its softer kind of humor, and I also enjoyed reading the braindead humor in the Megaman parody Bob & George. I also have a lot of fun with the humor in El Goonish Shive. Granted, a lot of their humor is visual, but maybe you can still find some inspiration in the dialogue. Or do you know all these webcomics already?

@comic: Sofia is wrong on one account: Rob is just pretending not to see her. The sandwich he threw away is proof. I don’t remember him being quite as aloof with the other women, so he’s doing that on purpose.

Since I’m not artist, you will have to suffer; this is what came to my mind when I read it:

    Little kitten on a shower,
    envious of her rival’s power,
over the man whom she adores.
where you see paths, I do see doors.

What’s the point of trying hard,
if you won’t ever drop your guard?
A look, a laugh, and maybe more,
I’ll make you see, I’m not a bore.

I want you, that’s all there is.
indulge with me, I’ll show you bliss.
But you are blind, won’t look at me,
what is the point, if you won’t see?!

Now come, my prince in dirty socks!
let’s dream a bit, forget the fox.
My heart of tar, I’ll now set free.
Just how hard can confessing be?

‘If subtle won’t do, I’ll use force!

Though, considering how NI loves to lead us on (anyone remember that vote incentive with the shoe from waaaay back?), I’m guessing she’ll either chicken out or just went into ‘the other cabin’, quietly hoping that Rob will walk in on her…or ‘accidentally’ walk out when he does.
Or she just wants to cool down and clean up.
She was at the shower for SOME reason after all.

At least I don’t see a second pair of shoes on the ground there and Sofia’s not wearing them any more.

I find it sort of fitting that her panties are pink, although everything else about her clothes is just neutral, ngl.
