Ambush

Someone mentioned running into a tighter space. Well, they had the same idea.

How are you guys doing? I went for a very long walk yesterday (35km this time around) and it was great, but I think I can now claim that I’m a vampire. For a while now we had a suspicion that my eyes get swollen not because of the pc but because of the sun and yep, just as we suspected, I woke up with my right eye swollen shut. My body hates the sun. It’s official. It’s all better now since I rested it and I have a magical ointment from an eye doctor but I’ll most likely need to be careful about it. Anyway, please don’t worry~ I just thought it was slightly amusing.

From other news – nothing new to report. Week after week, I’m working on Historia and my novel, both still in the works and will probably be for a while longer. Everything is slow when you have a day job, I guess. But I did put up a drawing process video on Historia’s Patreon so please check it out if you feel like throwing a coffee or two our way. Thanks! We already put a lot of money into the project, buying sound assets, printing Comiket goodies, buying a Comiket table, some software had to be purchased as well. It’s all voluntary work from our own pockets. If you think we’re making tons of money on that awesome, FREE indie game that we’re making you’re badly mistaken lol Banner is at the top, or you can just click HERE.

Also, I wanted to introduce a new webcomic series: Fox & Spirit written by a dear friend of mine and drawn by amazing Claarin ! Please check it out and subscribe for more if you’re using Tapas! πŸ™‚

I finally escaped from the evil clutches of a time- and soul-draining mobile game. So I’m pretty pleased about having time for more important things again, like watching anime. And maybe get back to commenting here more regularly again.
I never stopped voting though. πŸ˜‰

The humble door, the most underrated tactical position of all time ^^

Oh and also: No, not a vampire, you just turn into another “IT-Person” who lives in the darkest cellar in the building ^^
There is also something else that it could be, but for a “shut-in” you are just too much outside πŸ˜€

Also thanks for sharing our little project, it won’t rival your or others comics, but maybe there are a few who will enjoy it πŸ™‚

You do know that most webcomics update weekly or some twice or three times a week, right?
Reading a page takes like…30 seconds. (Which is a real shame, considering how much work these artists put into them)

Even if you followed ALL webcomics out there that are at least ‘decent’ (and are caught up on them), you’d still have plenty of time left after consuming all updates…unless of course you’re on a tight schedule to begin with, then it might get tricky to add another one. πŸ˜›

There’s a lot of decent comics out there. So I have severe doubts you could even follow all of them.

And even if you could, how many different stories do you think you can keep track of in your head? I mean, sure, you could read each new page, but there isn’t much point if you completely lost the plot among the hundreds or thousands of other stories you’re following at a few pages per week.

Yes well, I only follow relatively few and am not actively looking for new ones to follow, as such I wouldn’t have any sort of number.

My statement also was merely referring to the ‘consumption of time’/updated page to mitigate the notion of ‘the new comic automatically being a competition to Replay’ and ‘stealing the audience’.

That it would be quite a pain to keep all the stories sorted and memorized is an entirely different matter.

I would know, I’ve already found myself in the rather interesting position to be writing two entirely different stories…it starts with mixing up the names of the characters, sometimes it’s traits, sometimes its entire plotlines…and that’s only two stories you get yourself involved in…okay, ‘writing a story’ is an entirely different type of involvement than reading it, but I think you get my point.

It’s true, I forget characters’ names sometimes.

Luckily there are different _kinds_ of webcomics and I don’t like all of them. So, I can ignore the Far Side clones, the R-rated ones, and the (deliberately) silly ones.

So death has come by cold, hard steel,
soon you’ll be gone, how do you feel?
With your body run right through,
no time to act, no time for rue.

In your haste, too fast you went,
and now, alas, your lives are spent,
    though I wonder, number three,
how will you fare and will you flee?

Call for backup, call for friends?
or blindly charge and share their ends?
Are you a smart or raging fool?
Do turn around and play it cool.

Life huffed out as blood is spilled,
the blades well sunk, up to the hilt.
No time for anger or regret,
felled they were by sudden threat.

But what, oh what, if they survive?
if missed the spot to take their life?
What, oh what, if they lash out?
No time to think, no time for doubt.

The screams resound through halls and air,
as if to say, ‘Now t’is not fair!’
Now who’s to hear, their final plea?
And will it end their killing spree?

This is one of those moments, where I’d wish I could upvote your comment.
A very good fit indeed. πŸ˜€
