Chaos

That was a demanding page but I like how it turned out. New demon to your liking? I sure hope so, since he’ll stay with us for two pages more! Those who of you who are $10 Patrons can already see the next page hehe and I’ll try to add a video tomorrow too. Everyone else please just sit tight, I’ll post the link here next Sunday/Monday (‘∀’●)♡

Nothing special to announce this week! You guys didn’t tell me what you think about the video so I made my own judgment and upped the speed on the next one even more. No one would watch a drawing lapse video that’s 1.5h long anyway. So next one will be less than 40 minutes.

UPDATE: Video for $10 patrons has been added! Yay! ♡

The toothbrush is glowing in panel one, showing it’s anger at not being included in the magic ritual with it’s brethren toothpaste! 😛 (sorry, I know what it’s supposed to be, my mind just jumped a little. Please don’t hit me)
Looks cool. Also, I know Rob and Ada should be calmer since they fought before, but how are they not flipping out when seeing a demon mow down people? Are they that confident from the last fight?

I’ll let them flip when they don’t feel like they need to save everyone else. Never heard of people who witness an accident, help everyone involved and only after that collapse, completely drained? When you are sure that you are the only one who can do something you can stomach a lot of things.
And damn, it DOES look like a toothbrush xD

Now I’m thinking that toothbrush-shaped lampposts is a thing that totally *needs* to exist 🙂 It’s a sad world without toothbrush lampposts in it…

Y’know, it might be just me, but that gentleman doesn’t seem very gentle. Someone should challenge him to a duel and teach him some manners.

Not a good idea, because the challenged one gets to choose the weapons.
And for some reason, I don’t think this ‘gentleman’ would be kind enough to choose ‘blades’ as weapons. 😉

I don’t see a problem. The next natural step for climbing the “badassery scale” is obviously for Ada and Rob to start beating demons to death with their bare hands.

That’s… That’s not something I planned but now I wonder if I could pull it off somehow…

Well if Ada found a spell that could apply the swords’ effect to other surfaces…

The good news, I don’t see the corpses of Stefen or Emily anywhere.
I mean, I do see the dead girl in the bottom left corner of the last panel, but I don’t think that’s Em.

The bad news…I don’t see the alive and kicking Stefen and Emily anywhere either.
Now this most certainly could go either way…maybe they never made it out of the tent, maybe they managed to make a run for it.

Though, quite honestly, seeing how they managed to kill so many demons before already, why should they be worried about dealing with one lonely demon?
But then again, getting cocky is a good way to get yourself killed, so caution may well be advisable.

I don’t think it’s just one demon, because this one looks different than the one appearing in the tent. This one has bony jaws, and bony claws. I think I’ll call him Bony M. (short for monster).

At the shoreside of Styx we stand,
        And wave Charon.
        While we wait…
        To invade the surface.

And yes, you had that one coming. 😛

Heh…just took a look at that new VI…now you got me wondering, just what Ada saw there.

Not something she expected to see, that’s for sure.
But she doesn’t seem to be horrified, so I guess it’s nothing bad, like dead friends or something.
In fact, judging from her facial expression, it seems like it’s not dead people at all, since she wouldn’t be all that surprised by that at all.

    • NotImportant Reply

Ada doesn’t really know Stefen (or his assistant) so “dead friends” is not an option. But yeah, we’ve got an abundance of dead people, not surprising at all 😀

In times like these, where the apocalypse is upon you, I think quite personally I’d be very lenient with my definition of ‘friend’.
I think it would go something like: ‘Okay, that one’s not trying to kill me, so it’s a friend’. 😉

Not really. As stated in another comment: They’ll freak out once the immediate danger is over.
      Right now, it’s Adrenaline time.

It does a little, I can see that. If only we had sticky plasma grenades things would be a lot easier!

I love the centered POV on that last panel. Each panel pulls you in closer until you become… Ada? Cool.

Oh, so that’s where Mr Fluffy ran off to. I need a better lock for his cage because I keep finding the lock picked and a dead Brahmin whenever I go by my house…

Would the name “Steph” in panel 2 have been a reference to no game no life, by any chance? Sorry if someone already asked, but I am a little busy and don’t have enough time to search the comments.

    Awesome page!
I’m really impressed with the fire and smoke (also two pages earlier).
Very intense atmosphere with the people running around and calling out for their family and friends.
Last but not least (for now), I like your non-standard panel layout very much. It’s giving your comic something special, I cannot really describe it though.

    • NotImportant Reply

I was not aware I have a non standard layout but I’m a noob at those things, I just do what I please. Glad you enjoy! 😀

Well all the comics I knew before going on this webcomic trip are the traditional/legacy comics: Asterix, The Smurfs, etc. Those all have a kind of grid ans very seldom there would be any part of a picture overlapping and such.

        G’night.
