Tripping magic

Julia has outdone herself. I think this is the first time we see her actually do any magic…?

I’m still behind on anything and everything but I think my work will become more bearable starting next week. Phew…

I’m still reading the same books (should tell you how much I’m enjoying them…) and trying to write the second draft of the same story but damn, this year has been so stressful and annoying so far. At least spring is finally here, so there’s sun and flowers and all the primal sources of happiness so I’m hopeful. I still want to draft another book this year and I don’t even know what it’s supposed to be. Something with dragons? Something darker? A fairy-tale style book? I think there’s no point in chasing trends haha

Also, since we lost a couple Patreon patrons — please consider supporting or let me know what you’d like to see on Patreon! Drawing videos? Sketches? A quarterly postcard? I just bought a printer recently, so I could try making some stickers or postcards if there’s any interest.

Well Good, glad Julia’s getting to the root of the problem. Hopefully that spell is an area of effect and not just singular power trip.

If looking for a book idea, how would you like a fantasy parody? All the usual culprits have their roles reversed: philanthropist dragons, elves who live in caves, happy drow, hippie dwarves etc. It’s a culture that works fine, and there are no glaring issues or tyrants. Except the main character is the hero (but actually the villain in everyone’s eyes) who is stirring up trouble everywhere they go because they know things are ‘supposed’ to be different. ‘Go Away Hero!’ title and response to all this.

A root reaches out, Kasper eats grass,
a violent blow to demon’s sass.
Just a moment, hold that thought,
this block to me, Ada has taught.

Rise and shine, one more to go,
don’t dare to touch the dagger, bro!
So now we know, it’s all ’bout touch.
We’ll take her back, free from your clutch!

You really think, that you can fight?
That you can take me down?
This girl’s mine now, dear ain’t that right?
Oh, don’t give me that frown.

You broke her heart, I made her whole,
    now tell, who’s the demon?
She now is mine, body and soul!
    I grant her pleasant dreaming.
