I’m tired! It’s probably just winter, shorter days, and everyone having too much energy when the year starts, but I feel extra tired lately. Maybe I’m just trying to do too many things at the same time… Not sure! Anyway, I’m still reading the same books (which is already an indication that I have little free time) but I resumed writing my supposed-to-be-funny novel so that’s great! I stopped writing it after some sad news in the family and being too sad to write a comedy. I think I’m ok now. Or at least detached enough to be able to attempt writing again.

If you haven’t heard, Japan is getting a heavy hit from Omicron, but the good news is that I’ve received my coupon for a booster and will get it sometime in March. I also bought tickets to Poland, again. We’ll see if that works out, but it’s my cousin’s wedding and I’d love to be there. I haven’t seen my family for 3 years already. It’s been too long, and the virus keeps ignoring my complaints.

Anyway, it’s been a week just like any other so I don’t have much to share. Please give Historia a whirl if you haven’t yet – it’s free! PLAY HERE!

    Meanwhile, elsewhere and far away,
    a girl sits among crows.
Her scarf high flutters in wind’s play,
it tugs on all her clothes.

Legs hung free, her feet in boots,
    say girl, aren’t you cold?
In winter time few dare take roots,
yet here you sit, quite bold.

Who is it you are waiting for,
    dressed in shorts and sweater?
Who is it whom you so adore,
who’ll make you feel all better?

Who do you hope will come around,
    and drive away the cold?
For whom did you reserve your frown,
to whom your heart is sold?

Well, just because it’s ‘sorta skin toned’ doesn’t mean it’s actual skin right there.
She might well be wearing a (surprisingly warm) pair of pants, which just happens to look like bare skin.
Sacrificing comfort/health for attractiveness is…well, not a very healthy course of action.

Nope, but it’s a pretty common one… (although this is kind of extreme).

    Beautiful Sofia!
I couldn’t wear that outfit in that weather. Maybe with some warm tights underneath, but bare legs? No way.

One crow sorrow, two crows joy… what does the rhyme say for 17 of them?
So Sofia’s Canadian? Done that myself in cold weather, if only as relief from the heat of shoveling.

‘Or at least detached enough’ This is concerning. Do not detach yourself. Allow yourself time to mourn and work through such a thing fully.

For trip, do you have ticket/traveler’s insurance? Get it if not.
