I got vaccinated on Monday! And I actually only felt bad (sore throat, migraine) on Thursday, but all the discomforts went away after resting a bit. Now I can start worrying about the second dose haha~

Apart from that, I finished all the CGs for Historia, so I’m almost done with the art! We only want an extra title screen graphic but I can do that later. For now, I want to have a playthrough and fish out anything that needs fixing. I’ll be polishing the text as well since I’m the writer for this part. It’s exciting! It’s almost done!

As for my other writing adventures, I’ve been working on removing unnecessary words from the Cleansed Ones today, and out of 8k words that I went through I managed to remove 650. It’s not amazing, but not terrible either, and I feel like I polished it a little in the meantime. It takes a lot of time, though. I’m not sure if it’ll pay off, but I guess I’ll continue for the time being and see where I land in a couple more chapters.

The rainy season is over in Japan, so it’s now extremely hot and humid! We still go for long walks, but 23km is our current limit, I’m afraid lol It’s too hot! And yes, I’m wearing a hat, using sunscreen, and staying hydrated 😉 Can’t go to the ocean just yet since the cases are spiking again and I only had a single dose of the vaccine… Oh, and did you guys watch Loki? I can’t say I loved it. I had high hopes and expectations and just wasn’t able to enjoy it as much as I wanted to. And that last episode… ehhh!

I think “whatever we bring back will have to make do” is incorrect. Either the weapons they bring back “will have to do” or the people in camp “have to make do” (with what they bring back). But if the weapons make do, I think they have agency you usually don’t want in a weapon.

Thanks for spotting this! The “make” is unnecessary, I’ll remove it~

Usually, but magical weapons that will attack the demons by themselves actually sounds useful…

Magical swords? Or just pretty swords? In a D&D campaign, those swords would totally be magical, at least.

Sentient glowy blade going *PICK ME! PICK ME!* passed over due to lack of sheath.

Wonder what she saw? I can’t wait for more.
Sorry to hear about the vaccine. My second shot wasn’t that much worse than my first, so hopefully you should be okay.

Yea, I see that now. Also I think you mean twin blades? The way you worded it was a little confusing. Thx

Oh, wait the sword wasn’t shown. Also is it just me, or in the 3rd panel is adda holding the sword by the blade?

Now they’ve arrived where they were headed,
the alarm has long since died.
With great force the glass is shredded,
    a blanket’s put aside.

What to take, what do we need?
    And does it matter much?
All of these will make them bleed,
    watch, which blade you touch.

Say, do they need to be real sharp,
or will a dull blade do?
Come put them all on this here tarp,
and take the sheaths with you.

We should well pick some of each kind,
have some from which to choose.
So all who want to fight may find,
one that won’t cause a bruise.

    Shiny blades and shiny knives,
    shiny all around.
Decide who dies and who survives,
Or who for pain is bound.

Now pack them up and do be quick,
now what is that you found?
Is there a blade for you to pick,
to cut them to the ground?

    Craftsmanship of days long past,
    remants of old violence.
It is quiet, please do act fast,
    for danger prowls the silence.

I like that “oooh” – has she found her sword already?
I wonder what info they will get for it.

Swords are nice, but what about armour. It might help with not dying when does beasts attack… at least not instantly.

First, they don’t exactly have infinite carrying capacity. Second, the beasts seems to be strong enough the limitation of movement armor causes will matter more than the protection.

There is a reason why ‘heavy armor’ went out of fashion.
I mean, the military with tanks and stuff were no match for the demons, what could a flimsy piece of personal armor do?

HKMaly is right, mobility is key in fighting these guys, cause, after all: ‘What good is the power to split a mountain, if you cannot hit it?’

Well, unless they can find/craft a piece of enchanted armor which redirects the entire kinetic force back at the attacker, making them just about invulnerable, that’d be a different story.
Too bad such a spell (likely) does not exist.

    • Klorix Camp dweller Reply

Point taken, I didn’t put much thought into it. But indeed, if they have the ability to enchant weapons the same way those Katana are, they should get as many as possible.

The way you drew Rob in the 2nd panel is adorable! I love your art style!

For your second dose, get really hydrated. Drink water all the day before, not coffee or carbonated. Tea is probably fine if its low caffeine. That will help with the headaches and the other symptoms. A surprising thing that most people don’t know is that caffeine causes your blood vessels to constrict, at the capillary level, reducing blood flow.

Oh, no problem with that – I don’t drink coffee at all haha~ Thanks for the advice!
