Almost

Well, at least she hit it? That was a feat on its own.

I hope you’re enjoying Ada’s face on the last panel. That was very amusing to draw. Sometimes I regret not putting more silly faces in this comic but I’m not used to doing it. Oh well. You still get them from time to time!

I’m very busy, mostly with Historia. I need to update LucidA96’s Patreon and show off all the progress I’m made in the last two weeks. There’s still a lot to do, but I’m trying not to count the remaining assets and focus on drawing instead. Otherwise, I start freaking out and that doesn’t make the work go any faster. The novel is moving forward as well but slower. Editing is hard and I really need a lot of focus if it’s to be worth anything… I’m trying to do it in the morning when I’m least tired. Then work, then Replay / Historia. Very busy.

I’ve started reading The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher (I’m in the second volume now) and I’m both good and bad, I guess. I like the narration, the characters annoy me from time to time but not too bad, but the plot is sometimes very weird. Especially in the second volume – there are 4 types of werewolves, introduced in a huge infodump at the beginning of the story and then they appear, one after another, mostly to just make the main character more miserable. I’m not sure why we need all those various types. It feels like quantity over quality kind of thing and I honestly can’t remember the tiny differences between them from the infodump at the start so… Ehhh maybe the third volume will be better. I’m listening to those as I draw, by the way. Audiobooks are great.

Well, that’s all I have, enjoy the page and I shall finish the lineart for the next Historia CG πŸ™‚

Ada uses Rock. It’s super ineffective.

(Maybe it’s a delayed effect. I hope so, cause I doubt she’d look nice as a paste spread all over the street.)

Actually, I’m kind of surprised Ada can throw the rock that far up. It’s got to be at least 15 or 20 meters, looking at how big the demon is compared to the buildings.

The rock appears to be encircled with some kind of Zodiac wrap. Hopefully it will have some significance soon.

Maybe shouldn’t have yelled that loud,
as you hurled your spell towards that cloud,
say really, did you think that through?
Or bit off more, than you can chew?

The good news is, it’s not in pain,
the bad, your plan’s gone down the drain.
How ‘lack of pain’ is good you shout?
It won’t yet try to snuff you out.

No really, think, had the spell worked,
but not killed, it would have perked,
    it’s attention down to you.
It’s time to run, please get a clue.

But you see, from where I stand,
I think you’re in for shock, quite grand.
Did you not quite filled with dread,
speak words like ‘trample’, maybe ‘tread’?

So what I think, for all I know,
one wrong step will cause the blow.
You’d best stay clear of it by then,
lest you’ll be flat like some 10 yen.

Don’t take the chance, you tried and failed,
no shame in running, it’s time you bailed.
Run for your life, grab Rob, be gone,
don’t stand in shock, and live to dawn!

Yeah. Hitting it was definitely a feat in itself. Especially in the chest? That would have required some unholy strength, or maybe the demon isn’t as tall as we think it is and she’s way closer than is wise.

Well it is tagged. Now to see if anything happens once the spell hits the ground. If it Does work, hopefully the price isn’t a broken limb or coma for it.

I’m just about willing to bet, that Ada expected something ‘more flashy’ herself. πŸ™‚
But you know how it is with spells…like a box of chocolates, you’ll never know what you get unless you try them. πŸ˜‰

And Ada put (her) hand in (her) bag, and took thence a stone, and threw it, and smote the demon in his chest, that the stone bounced off his chest; and it fell (…) to the earth.

That face when you suddenly realize a plan B would’ve been a good idea.
