Please let us know what you think! And feel free to throw some coffee at us, right now we’re just emptying out own pockets on this. But! Money’s not everything! Spreading the word about this project (hopefully a positive one) would be very, very nice as well so don’t feel bad if you don’t have spare $$, we’ll love the feedback and advertisement just the same. Thank you so much!

What else I am up to? Well, Japan will have the next week off so I’ll be hard at work, most likely finishing my novel. I have an almost completed story waiting for some small fixes and final polishes before I can show it to the beta-readers (no real idea on who’s that going to be yet, most likely my fiance – the ultimate critic of all my creations). I don’t want to say too much because I’m not sure what I’m even going to do with it when it’s done. Might be that I’ll end up scrapping it; it all depends on the final quality and the feedback I’ll receive.

Enjoy the demo and see you next year!

Ah! Also, if you could leave a vote for Replay that would be great. Somehow, we just can’t climb that ladder up lately… Thanks a bunch, guys!

Callin’ it now, they did it to trap a demon _inside_ the barrier.
A slightly early Happy New Year to all. Just a matter of hours, now.

LOL… That would be impressive. Cognitive abilities aside, I don’t think a chicken could even move these stones… Unless it can use The Force? 😉

The door pops out and a demon with a self-made shotgun stands in their way “Get off my yawn, you filthy humans and let my chicken go” XD

I will check out your other work after the year has ended ^^Woo much to do the next two days 🙂
But I really was looking forward to it, hell saying so often this is what you could do it would be a shame to no look at it ^^
And great to hear your novel is also getting its finishing touches 🙂

    Happy New Year!
Yeah, I know it’s already hangover time in Japan, while it’s still hours away in the US. But it’s 3 am in Germany, and I’m going to bed now, so…

New Year’s resolution: forget TWC less often 😉

A novel would be a pleasant read. Not that I’m trying to hint at anything… ;-p

I’m going to say it’s Julia, using magic to make herself sound more intimidating. After all, she has a chicken thief to deal with; never can tell what a chicken thief will get up to when cornered.

Beautiful page, as always, NI; thank you!

I’m guessing there is also another pet inside, which is scratiching at the door, that wants to go ‘greet’ the newcomers.

Shamelessly borrowing NiWo’s idea: it’s a pet demon! Who’d expect that?

Interesting possibility. I’m going to stay with Julia, though; it keeps possibilities open, that way. Could be Julia; could be a demon; could be a pet, which could also be a demon…

Your VN looks really cool; I will definitely check it out. I’ll let my friends know if it is as cool as it seems 🙂

Haha thanks! I sure hope it is! The demo is very short but hopefully shows the idea well enough.

I have many concerns about that final panel, but I hope it’s just a big friendly doggo.

By the way, do we know what happens to demons if someone creates a protection circle around them? Did we already have a theory or even an answer?

    • antrik Reply

Don’t remember any discussion… But I haven’t read all past comment threads completely.

Since the circle is normally supposed to keep enemies out, I think the only way you could use it to trap them inside would be if you can reverse it, by putting the symbols outside rather than inside… No idea whether that’s possible.

Just got done with the Historia demo, and wanted to throw you guys my critiques and praises. Firstly, thanks so much that the patterned shirt on Max is hand-drawn to match the folds of the fabric. Flat patterns on obviously non-flat clothing is a pet peeve of mine. I also enjoy the subtle (and not so subtle) changes to the backgrounds (especially the backpack that disappears under the text box, where you notice it.) Which leads me to the one thing I’m not sure about, the level of detail in the backgrounds. They’re absolutely stunning, and have lots of things to look at (like, does that keyboard have all the keys?), but it’s way more detailed and clearer than most of the VNs I tend to play. With such a short demo, I can’t tell if they’ll distract me from the story or not, so I’m looking forward to reading more. Lastly, my one complaint (probably caused by my 4:3 monitor from ’03) is the controls below the text are really small. Like, printing on a microSD card small.

I’m really excited to see the rest of Historia’s story, and if you guys ever need a proofreader or tester, feel free to let me know.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!! We still have a lot to do regarding the gui… I have passed your praises and concerns to the rest of the team. I’m glad that there were things you could enjoy even in such a short demo, thanks for playing!
