Better than expected
Hey guys! Are you still reading…? I sure hope so haha, sorry for being so quiet in the last month, this is all because I’m working very hard to finish all Historia assets before Comiket but! I think I’m done! Might still need to do some final fixes and such but all the missing backgrounds, CGs, and sprites are done so I’m super happy. To be honest, It’s been a while since I felt so tired of drawing. I want to do something else lol

And yeah, no Christmas drawing, I’m afraid. I’d love to do something but didn’t have time because of the Historia project. To be honest, I’m not going to celebrate Christmas at all. No family visits, no dinner, no present on Christmas day (we actually already gave each other present with my fiance). Reason? I guess a bit of work (my fiance couldn’t take any time off due to various reasons) and me trying really hard to draw Historia assets on time instead of thinking about Christmas. So if you’re not really spending Christmas this year… I’m with you haha.
Alex mentioned working in Japan last week in the comments and I thought I might mention it briefly. To be honest, when I was coming to Japan I assumed I’ll be subjected to 16 hours-long workdays, no holidays, constant crunch kind of work and for funny money too. I was prepared to do it for as long as necessary to get the permanent residence visa… It wasn’t like that at all. I work for Amazon as a programmer, some of you probably know that already, and I love it. It’s great. Work time is flexible, Japan has… what, 18 holidays per year? And I also get more than 15 paid vacation days on top of that. No peer pressure to stay late either since it’s not your typical Japanese office. There’s nothing to complain about.
So don’t worry about me guys, so far I’m really happy with my decision to move to Japan and I really like my job 🙂 Of course, if you’re thinking about working in Japan then yeah, most workplaces here are probably not happy places. I can’t really tell because I’ve never seen them myself but I’ve heard stories. I consider myself exceptionally lucky in that regard.
Alright, I should go to sleep. I’m feeling accomplished today! Enjoy the page and have fun during Christmas, I might not take any time off during next week but I’ll have a longer break during New Years’. See you next week!
