Posting from the airport! I’m on my way back to Tokyo. I hope you can enjoy this page more than I will enjoy my 14 hours long flight~

Looks like Sofia decided to greet them in spite of her mood… Let’s hope she’ll act reasonably mature about it!

‘But it’s the perfect play! Nobody, Especially Adam, would expect it!’
Lol at Filip being flipped off.

Hey, tails used for emotional expression!

Good news, Filip’s back. Bad news, he’s completely enthralled by the prospect of magic.

Bummer, she’s a smoker… and Kasper, too… But I get why Nina is stressed.
Nonetheless, the post-apocalypse is the best time to stop smoking I’d say!

I love how you draw Nina’s eyes! (If I had to point out one aspect of your great work. It’s also been some time since I praised your art, so there you go! ( ^_^)/ )

On the contrary I’d say it’s a good time to start. Not like you’ve got that long life-expectancy anyway, and who knows maybe the demons will be repelled by by the smell.
I bet our resident Mad Scientist has got more smokes though, or is making something to get more..

You are probably right regarding life-expectancy. And IF something like that were helping to repel the demons, good!

Otherwise, the problem with this and any other kind of addiction, or any dependency on certain substances (i. e. medicine), is that they are difficult to come by. Given potential withdrawal symptons that make life more difficult and the fact that said substances probably are not a top priority when searching for supplies, I stand by my point.

        Also, I don’t like cigarette smoke. 😉

    This is odd.

Not the artwork or the fact that Nina is smoking (most do when stressed), but the simple fact, that Kasper seems to know pretty much exactly who ‘the new girl’ is at this juncture.

From my understanding, Sofia saw them coming, got pissed and stomped straight to confront him about the new one.
As such, there wouldn’t have been time for any sort of debriefing on who she is.

And even so, it looks as if Kasper only got there to find Nina smoking, which would mean that Nina was there first (at least it doesn’t look like she ‘just got there’.)

I understand, albeit only on second look, that the portrayed events describe two different moments in time, as in: They arrived and introduced Julia to the assembled crew already, but as I said: At first glance it feels like Kasper knows too much at this point.

And well, the barrier did not repel her, so she probably means no harm…at least for the time being.

Oh good, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who was confused ….

Haha sorry, I just hate those “4 hours later…” bubbles but I didn’t want to waste space on some transition panels and this happened. Oh well, good learning. Don’t omit transitions.

      • Refugnic Reply

        No problem. 🙂

I just figured I’d tell you, simply because I believe to recall you asking for feedback about anything we consider ‘off’.
And now, at long last, I finally found something! 😀

maybe its just me, but I thought it was obvious, Sophia stomping away, and the next panel she is with the group, seemed obvious something had happened in between

      • Refugnic Reply

Yes, @G, something did happen: She arrived at the gate, where Robert, Ada and Julia were just walking in.
I did not question the order of events or anything, I was just a little puzzled, how someone who only just arrived (apparently) seemingly knew a lot more than he should.

It was obvious that some time had passed, just not ‘how much’ or what happened in between.

      • NotImportant Reply

        Absolutely! Feedback is always welcome~!
And yeah, I’ll need to squeeze in some sort of small transition ;D

She’s got Ada on her side, going against that is like trying to turn back the tide.

well apparently I ruffled someone’s feathers, unintentionally I assure you, it was just my take on the scene, but I will no longer make any comments I will enjoy your great comic in silence

    • NotImportant Reply

Oh please, don’t be like that 😀 Nothing happened! I enjoy all the comments and I’m very open to critique so feel free to say whatever you think or feel when reading the comic. I really hope to see your comments under the pages in the future!

    • Refugnic Reply

My apologies if I appeared aggravated to you.
I assure you, you did not ‘ruffle my feathers’ or anything.

And by no means let my, apparently abrasive response, keep you from posting commentary.

As a fellow artist, I know from experience that feedback is pretty much the lifeline of an artists work.
No matter how brilliant someone may be, there is always room for improvement.

And how is an artist to know what you think, if you don’t tell them?

For an artist who puts his work out there (for free, no less!), the worst thing that can happen to them is silence.
Sure, they can look at the view count and some analytics…but only from responses, they will ever know, how their work made you feel.

So please, by all means, continue your commentary.
And if you find me spouting nonsense, feel free to call me out on it.

Most certainly I will seek to respond to you (or anyone, really).
Seek to explain myself and my thoughts.
And maybe walk away having learned something new.

So once again, my apologies if I made you feel like you did or said anything wrong.
