Saving the fanboy

This is perhaps the best thing that has happened to them from the very beginning of this story. A barrier, which will keep them safe…! ლ(╹◡╹ლ)

Next pages will be… more emotional and dramatic than usual, so brace yourselves. Those who have the Private pledge on the Patreon can already see the first page of the next scene and I hope they aren’t disappointed. Those next pages were a lot of work but I have no regrets, they are coming out beautifully and make me feel proud (that pleasant feeling will most likely fade in a month or two but still). I hope you are already waiting for the next week when the morning comes and we’ll see what remains and what’s forever gone.

And I hope that those who follow me on Facebook or Twitter had fun watching the TWC daily doodle challenge pieces! I probably won’t be sketching those in the next week as I’ve got 4 new episodes of the extra comic already planned out and will be posting them on Patreon and as vote incentives starting Tuesday (ノ・∀・)ノLet’s enjoy the development of Ada and Robert’s little side story together!

    Every time i see this page it makes me smile – its just the situation – Fanboy Robert and the demon just pounding against the barrier – its just so surreal but great 🙂
    And the doodles you did for TWC were great – i think the one i like the most was the one with Sofia and her special friend, just because its interessting how these two came together. But i am also looking forward to the new pages of the side storys, just because i want to know how this will be contiued.

    And just from the next page i just can image what is coming and how the next pages look. its realy beautiful – But i hope your pleasent feeling wont fade because you will find something new that will extend this 🙂

    *Sigh*…I know that Rob’s a bit of a Fanboy and everything, but…are you freaking serious?!

    I mean honestly, there’s a huge monster banging against an invisible door which just might decide to crack any given second, people are still dying beyond that barrier and he’s thinking about getting a costume for Ada?

    Honestly, Rob, I think you just qualified as her familiar yourself, congratulations.
    The kind that regularly gets blown to pieces, but somehow comes out intact, naturally.

    Either way, very cute page nonetheless, though I still do not agree with Rob’s reaction under the circumstances.
    Kinda makes him look like he lost his mind. 😛

      You need to be a little insane to survive to this point, you know hahaha~ Robert is one of those people who deal with the stuff that bothers them by pretending it’s not even there. Not healthy, but sometimes it’s all you can afford.

        I mean, he matches the criteria:

        Never strays far
        Protects her from physical harm
        Can be both cute and badass (very important for male familiars :P)

          Immediately after realizing that the spell seemed to actually be working and they were safe, I’d imagine he’d probably experience a huge euphoric rush from the release of stress, even if only temporary or partially. At least I see that as a potential contributor to that reaction being in the middle of intense stuff, so long as we’re looking for “logical” explanations.

      It’s called getting your priorities straight 😉
      He probably always wanted to see a real-life magical girl, and adding a costume as the finishing means he can finally die happy.
      Ideally, she’d have a magical transformation sequence, obviously. But Sakura didn’t have one either, so that’s ok; he’ll just have to show off his sewing skills.

            @Dæmon Yeah, I had considered Kyoko, but I thought the costume lends itself less to accommodating a tail.
            And I thought Madoka’s is too pink. Same reason I hadn’t suggested Yūna’s costume (from Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru), or Illya’s Saber costume (from Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3).
            I’d also considered Rikka (from Chuunibyou), even though she’s not really a magical girl (even going along with her delusions, it’s magical but not really magical-girl).

    I hope you willing to dedicate a sub tab to magical girl fan art because im going to be sharing this with my otaku friends and make it an infection among the internet! (meme lvl infection perhaps???) Aside from the fact ; story wise cute though by the end of the chapter de be shiped on a grand boat as far as saling goes… well… anywho keep up the great work!

        Seems they do fandubs of comics. They get some people to read the script while the video pans over the comic pages. They’ve done two chapters of blindsprings and a chapter of sleepless domain. (That’s assuming it really is from the youtube channel mentioned in the advertisement. I don’t see a way to verify that.)
        So it doesn’t really seem like a scam to me, unless they somehow make money from it (which doesn’t seem to be the case). But it’s odd they wouldn’t ask or inform you.

          If they didn’t even care to ask me then I have no reason to defend a person who uses my drawings to post advertisements. All I get is people asking about the dubbing I have no idea about =_=

    Sorry, Robert. Ada does not seem too hyped about that magical girl idea.
    Her face in that costume 😀 Blue was a good choice, because of her eyes. A red one would have been too much, what with her hair an all. Also, many red tones tend to not go well together, let alone pink.

    Ada, don’t you worry. Robert is just full of a weird hormone mix (adrenaline, serotonin and whatnot), he’ll be back to normal soon enough, whether you like it or not 😉
