I thought it did

Communication is hard.

Now many words this week but I hope you enjoy this page nevertheless. You guys commenting and getting upset at those two idiots makes me very excited and happy so please don’t stop! Those who have the Private pledge (and Corporal one) know that this is not the end yet. So get some more popcorn and let’s rock this boat even harder!

I’m not going to write much because I’m super busy and I still want to edit some text before my weekend ends aaaa!

But. For those who know Katawa Shoujo… I’m working on a THING with them. And it’s going to be epic ლ(o◡oლ)

Probably because you were shouting and being emotionally distressed. She does love you as a friend at least, you don’t want to hurt your friends.

Sometimes words are not needed, only expressions 🙁

It really sounds like you have something that will blow us away and the way you talk about it, i have the feeling this is also something you are absolutely loving – looking forward to hear about it 🙂

Seems things are slightly complicated here, certainly more so than Robert thought…
    Poor Ada.

Katawa Shoujo isn’t something I was aware of, but now… after a quick glance at a google search, I think I might have to do a little research and maybe make a purchase.
Gotta say though, I’m feeling conflicted over it at the moment. Can’t say I’m overly fond of the name, or that it’s apparently a dating sim….. but the premise interests me a bit.

Well, I’m going back to lurking (just how many months since I last commented? hehe). Thanks for all the pages. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the story unravel (and not just the plots involving these two).

Katawa Shojo is great. It is really rear to have the love live of disabled people as the focus of a story and they handle it very interestingly. I’m not entirely sure what thing NI is talking about, though.

The neat thing about Katawa Shoujo is that yes, the characters have various disabilities, but said disabilities are really just another defining character trait like height or hair color. They’re not IRRELEVANT, but they have little if anything to do with the greater personal conflicts each character has to deal with through the game.

[spoilers] The deaf girl? She acts like a neurotic control freak to hide her self-confidence issues and isn’t sure what she wants to do with her life after graduation. The girl with no legs? She has deep psychological issues from her father’s death years ago. The girl with no arms? She’s a cloudcuckoolander who has difficulty expressing herself to others. The girl covered in horrific burns? Crippling self-esteem problem. Kenji? He’s just hilarious. And so on. [/spoilers]

A bit of warning: the good endings are beautiful, but the bad endings will emotionally DESTROY you.

Because her best friend is hurt and confused and even though it might not have been her intention she is in part responsible

And, she is powerless to do anything about that hurt and frustration; Robert wants something that Ada cannot give him, and she’s very much afraid that when he seeks that something in someone else, she’s going to lose him entirely out of her life.

Wait, you’re doing something with Four Leaf Studios??? WHAAAAAATTTT?!?!?!

Also, Robert, seriously; you just threw a sandwich and shouted at her for not wanting to bang you. Fool, yes; “The”, not so much.

…That’s a rather gross oversimplification of intimate relations right there, at the very least his reaction here suggests emotional pain beyond a simple neglected libido and frankly if he was thinking with his ‘head’ he would go for the willing, easy mark first like all sexual predators. Don’t make him out to be a dick just because he has one. A mans emotions go beyond finding their way to the nearest hole.

What’s more, I’d say it’s actually demeaning of her as well? I don’t think any sane woman would cry over some jerk who gets angry when she doesn’t want to “bang” him?…

I find that last panel difficult to look at. Ada looks so sad! Our lovely fox needs all of the hugs.

By all means go ahead and add the crying Ada to your wallpaper gallery. I know you want to. 🙂

As for Katawa Shoujo, I downloaded it a year ago, but didn’t get around to playing more than the opener yet. Read on Wikipedia that the endings are numerous. Feel free to keep us up-to-date on it.

i still dont believe she doesnt love Rob, but, if she doesnt, thats ok too. if she doesnt and she doesnt want to come forward, i’m sure she has her reasons. give her a hug, Rob, youre so horrible…making a girl cry!

  8. Crestlinger Reply

Clearly there were some strong onions in that sandwich and Robert is immune or threw it away before they could take effect.
Ada, on the other hand, is hypersensitive to them.

ADA: “But, Robert, I friend-zoned you… We can’t go back now – it’s not done! The sis-sis-sisterhood wouldn’t allow it *sob*”
ROBERT: “The Sisterhood!? – … The sisterhood of witches?”
    ADA: “No. The sisterhood of… girls… It’s a rule… *crying*”

    • antrik Reply

To “graduate” from the “friend zone”, her perception of him would have to change in a substantial way. Either she’d have to discover some very attractive side to him that was previously unknown to her — unlikely in this case, since they have known each other for years; or his behaviour would have to change significantly.

OHHHHH. I got it now. She just wants to be friends (best/close friends, mind you), but doesn’t want to be left out of his life when he finds someone else to be romantically interested in.
Also, HOLY SHIT YOUR WORKING WITH FOUR LEAF STUDIOS?!

    • Rateus Camp dweller Reply

Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated? I see the way you’re acting like somebody else gets me frustrated…

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IM ALL CAUGHT UP! Dx

I just got back into reading Replay and OOH my God. It’s like a part of my life thats been missing has been found again~~ Poor Robert though, and Ada.. And Sophia. Love is a harsh thing sometimes. ;v; I really love how far Replay has come throughout the years and I cant WAIT to see how it grows from this point on~
