Let’s kick some ass before everyone will die!

Replay’s lovely patrons get an early access but here it is, for everyone, another process video! I made it shorter this time, maybe that works better? If you guys are not interested in those – let me know, why waste time on making them if no one cares, right? So let me know if you’d like to see another, I have the next page recorded as well so I can make another for the next week.

 

This was a weird week, a lot of running around since I had to buy some correction glasses. Suddenly, I realized I don’t see the distance clearly, went to the optician and transformed into an even more nerdy girl~! Anyhow, enjoy the video and see you next week!

    Oh, an early post? How pleasant.

    Quite honestly, I can’t say that I’m super happy with how Ada drew that sword.
    I know you were going for motion and stuff, but still, it looks like the sword’s made of rubber or something.

    And quite honestly, I know she’s pretty badass and I know she’ll win this…but that look of sheer madness on her face still makes me worry.
    And Rob too, from the look of it.

    Reaching for glory, huh? More like ‘reaching for death’s sweet embrace’.

    But then again, I guess you have to be at least a little bit crazy to attack a beast like that head on…you know, without any sort of plan other than ‘stab it to death’.

      Actually, the katana’s that are shown here are curved. There is an optical illusion of sorts because of that. We can see her right hand, but he left hand is the most important aspect in panel 1, as attention is drawn to it. I speak from an artist’s view point. I have been taught how to draw, or unsheath, a katana in a quick fluid motion and that is the correct way. So I can say this hats off on being accurate.

      I know the magic’s effect has not been said, but I am placing my bet on it being a type of self enchantment.

    Regarding your visit to the optician: That’s how it started for me too.
    One day, pretty much out of the blue, I suddenly realized that I was unable to read the street signs at the distance.
    Ever since then I’ve been wearing glasses. They may be weak, but still necessary for me to make out farther away objects well.

    I guess that’s what sitting and working with computers all day will do to your eyes eventually.

    I really like how this page looks, especially panel 1. Man, that panel just looks awesome!
    From your video, it looks like the writing on the sword is just scribbles. Correct? Which leads me to answering your question about the videos. I don’t have enough time to watch the entire thing, so I’ve just been scrubbing (do other people use that word too, or is it just a made up word that is somehow stuck in my head, I don’t ever recall hearing anyone saying it…) to find how you did a certain detail or two, in this case the sword text glow thing, and the panel 1 hair. But that is from the eyes of someone who doesn’t practice art in any form and is just curious how something is done. I can’t speak for the ones who are trying to learn techniques. I don’t know how much work it is to make the video, but if it’s only a few minutes to hit record, a few to fast forward, then upload, I don’t see why not. If it’s a lot for reasons I don’t know, I’d feel bad since I only watch about 5 minutes of it. Is that useful info at all?

      It is, thanks! And don’t worry, I’s struggle to watch it whole too, but if it’s interesting to the point of checking few things that’s good enough I think!
      And glad you like the page, very happy to hear that. There are only scribbles on the sword since they are not visible here anyway. So to save time~…

      A sword isn’t really the right implement to puree something. Maybe she could sashimi him (well, aside from that he’s not a fish… probably).
      I wonder what would make a good demon recipe. Maybe just filet him and lightly roast over a camp-fire. The camp does seem to be on fire, so it’s a good time to try it.

    AH! Finally! We learn something about you. Way to go on the comic, still loving it. Good job on making it to #1 on “TWC”!!!! Wwoottttt!!!! Congratulations!!!! I will keep on reading this epic comic until it ends or the world ends. I’ve been telling all my friends(phh. Like I have any) to read this amazing work of art and storytelling. I can hardly wait for the next page!
