Timber~!

UPDATE: This page has been redrawn in 2018! You can see the previous version here: older version.

That wasn’t all that hard, right Robert?

If you are puzzled, that’s completely fine, our little superhero doesn’t understand either. And please, don’t be ridiculous, it’s not him being seventh son of the seventh son or whatever, it’s not the power of insults,  not the sharp blade either. It’s actually THAT particular blade and there is a reason for him having it too. Just be patient!

Or actually you can just throw some more random ideas, it’s pretty amusing ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Seriously, have some faith…. ლ(╹◡╹ლ)

Ah and I said I’ve got a big buffer, didn’t I. This page was actually added later on, as my friend pointed out that there was too many things missing. Blame her for adding another week to this fight! Another week of wait till Ada appears! Mr demon is a cutie too, give him some love, weep for him a little, he really is dying here, you know.

Dying and accidentally crushing Robert with his huge, green body.

Ooh, ooh, I know. The demons are vulnerable when you throw a blanket on them!

(Or maybe it’s a magic sword. Come to think of it, it did appear to have something like glowing red runes on it in the previous page.)

I can’t believe there a survivor besides Robert. I don’t think that survivor quite believes it either.

Nah, it’s the blanket. Maybe the demons are like Dr. Who’s angels (except they… can still move) – they’re indestructible when you’re looking at ’em because they’re in a quantum lock, but when you prevent direct observation they can be killed. The blanket was the solution to everything! Also nukes. Nukes might work.

…or maybe it was the sword.

Personally, I thought the ambiguity of that THUD would’ve gone better without the explanation – on one hand, we’ve got the glowing red runes motif in the upper panel divider and last comic, on the other hand it’s a friggin’ demon – that thud could just have easily been Robert’s poor, misguided soon-to-be corpse getting tossed like the puny mortal fool he is/was/might be/he’sanamedcharacterwhoamIkidding.

Ahh sorry, I’m known for spoiling the fun. I thought it was fairly obvious but apparently drawing “demon who is about to fall down” was too much of a challenge.
I’ll need to form a habit of talking about the previous page under the current one, that’d be better for everyone lol.
      And thanks for sticking around!

Doesn’t look so much like glowing runes but more similar to if not japanese ideogram calligraphy filling with blood

Nice! They are still glowing though, at least that’s what I was trying to show.

Demons are REALLY susceptible to Clostridium tetani bacteria.

He has no idea that his filthy sword gave the demon an instantly fatal case of tetanus.

The soldiers died because they were trained to keep their weapons and ammo clean.

    😉
