Reassurance

See? That’s what she needs him for~

How many of you managed to catch all 4 extra comics from vote incentives? Well, keep checking the tweets this week as well, I’ve got two more ready and waiting for you and who knows what else will get sketched out in the meantime! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I hope those are at least slightly enjoyable. If you missed some they are up on the Patreon for all patrons to see plus I do plan to post them on the site here, eventually, probably after the whole arc is done and done.

I’ll be adding a video from one of the previous pages in the next few hours too~!

And guess what? I’ve spent my whole weekend painting! Walls. ಠ_ಠ We’re renovating the apartment before the move-out. My cat was very upset to be locked in the bathroom for the whole day so she pulled the protection foil from under the door and tore it to tiny pieces while we were out eating. Just imagine a black cat, super proud of itself, whiskers white from paint, surrounded by a cloud of foil confetti. ლ(o◡oლ)

Each of the panels look great! Wow, good work here. You can feel the emotion in them.

I do like those little side story pages you’ve been putting up. I got them through patreon. I still vote whenever I visit the site.

Yes, having cats, I can imagine exactly how that is. But they’re worth it. They’re worth all the clawing and trouble they get into.

Thanks a lot! Your support is much appreciated 🙂

And yeah, I love that silly cat even though it really knows how to annoy me (few people do!).

Because Belief Is an essential ingredient.

*This Will work when I say it to* is one of the core principles of the Will and the Word magic system in the Belgariad and Malloreon series of fantasy novels, and others, but best illustrated there, have a read of them, by David and Leigh Eddings.

Never doubt yourself – it just sinks in that if it doesnt work, Ada dooms everybody in the tent – or at least that is what she is thinking. She is so lucky to have someone like Rob on her side who knows how to reassure her and tell her that what she will do is going to work.

I love the last few pages, because you really can feel whats going on in her head – its really great work, even in the pages without text baoons you could see and feel whats happening.

And pets are something – i hope it wasnt to much work to get her cleaned again – we dont have a cat but a dog who, lets say, trains us and not reversed.

Pets are a lot of work but their love is also constant and not demanding. Precious little buggers ♡

Happy to hear that many people like the last few pages, I was wondering if it won’t be boring… Glad it worked! Phew!

Once you have a pet in the house you cant live without it even when its doing mess 🙂

And i can tell you why so many people dont find the last pages boring: because of your characters: If you have strong and relateble characters, you can have them just talk at a table for i dont know how many pages and still everyone will love and remember them. And your characters are rememberable. And when you have something like attacking demons and magic in an kind of post apocalyptic world it works (at least for me) even more 🙂

“Besides, at this point this is really the only chance we have of not getting horrible murdered by ravenous demons. You’ll do great!”

I enjoyed the use of the word blasted, good bit of British slang right there!

I like the ‘I’m not confident of me, but I’m confident of your confidence in me’ theme too.

So, from super-serious, to about-to-cry, to embarrassed. Kind of a quick transition. And yet, it all sort of works in a way that is both unexpected, and difficult to explain. On a side note, Robert, take the chance while you got it.

Going on spamming your comments, but I can’t stop, because your. Art. Is. Awesome.
    Look at that last panel!
Poor Ada, years of redhead bashing and enduring the mockery about her interest in magic made her so self-conscious and insecure. I’m really glad Robert’s there to support her.
